The Third Wave
The latest piece from the youth programme of Barka Theatre deals again with a topic which has contemporary relevance in Hungary today. The theatrical partnership of István Tasnádi and György Vidovszky started work on a true event which took place about forty years ago in a school in the USA. The show places the participants of the experiment into the circumstances of today’s Hungary.
A teacher starts a playful experiment with his students: he leads them step by step into the maze of autocracy in order to experience with their own skin how easy it is to become captive of extremist, conformist, ideological thinking/behaviour. The project-week comes to an end, but the Wave continues.
